What I Did Not Do
When I hit my weight loss plateau, I got discouraged, I got disappointed, but I refused to quit. I kept my motivation for weight loss very strong.
What I Did I Do (my weight loss formula)
I remembered my favorite quote from Albert Einstein. His quote gave me both the inspiration and the answer. Albert Einstein said, Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. So if I wanted to lose more weight, and what I was doing was not working, I needed to change what I was doing. So, I did not quit, I did not feel sorry for myself, I just changed what I was doing until I got the results I wanted.
I ended up doing two things that worked. I increased the frequency and length of my workouts, and I took in fewer calories. This always worked to help me get better weight loss results.
Why Does the Weight Loss Plateau Happen?
The less a person weighs the less calories a person needs to sustain their weight. So what worked when you were 250 pounds may not work when you are 200 pounds. So as you lose weight you need to get more aggressive towards what you are doing.
Dont Make this Weight Loss Mistake
The most common weight loss mistake that people make when they hit the weight plateau is to get disappointed and quit. As I mentioned above, this is not the time to quit but the time to roll up the sleeves and get more aggressive. This is the time to do it, because you have proven that you can do it.
